Personally, I prefer the acoustic version over the original one. This version really makes us feel the emotion more. The genuine sadness behind the lyrics and rhythm of the song is really felt this time now that the beauty of Katy’s shaking, un-autotuned voice is heard. It makes us feel depressed. It makes us miss that someone who got away. Above all, this version makes us relate to Katy’s current situation even though some of us may have never felt it before.

So I just saw Moulin Rouge, and I gotta say that I absolutely love it! The story, the soundtrack, the way the actors portrayed their characters - everything - is just so perfect! Not to mention Ewan McGregor’s accent and especially his singing voice. I fell in love with it as fast as Christian fell in love with Satine. It’s seriously one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
